“And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.” Matthew 10:22
I have lived 74 years in this world and I have never seen the chaos that is happening in our world. This is concerning and also a time to rejoice. It is getting closer and closer for the return of Jesus. Even with the return of Jesus soon, Jesus tells us that we are to endure until He comes. This means that we are not to stop fighting Satan and spreading the Good News of the Gospel. I wrote this when my cat was still alive and I felt that it needed repeating. We need to be alert but relaxed.
God speaks to us in many ways. God has provided so many life lessons from my cat. Today my cat is asleep across the room from me. He is at peace. He has nothing to worry about, life for him is grand. As I watch him sleep and the look of peace, there is a light noise outside. Instantly he is awake and alert. Yes, he was at peace, but he was also alert to any danger in his area.
God is telling us that we should be this way. We should rest completely in Him, but we must be alert to the dangers that are all around us. We must be alert to what is happening in our world and our nation. What happens in our world affects us all.
Jesus tells us in Matthew, “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, therefore be as wise as serpents and harmless as doves” (Matthew 10:16). If we are not aware of what is going on in the world, Satan can attack us with lies. If we know what is going on, we know when he is lying to us.
