“Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven. And everyone will see him— even those who pierced him. And all the nations of the world will mourn for him. Yes! Amen! “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.” Revelation 1:7-8
We are to be blessed when we read this book. I don’t know about you, but I am blessed just by reading these verses. I serve a God that loves me and he is coming back for me to take me home to heaven. This is the God that created everything and He is the beginning and the end. Not only is in someday I am going to live with God in heaven but He gives me the peace here on earth that passes all understanding. What a wonderful God we serve.
Every eye shall see Him’ comes from Isaiah. “The watchmen shout and sing with joy, for before their very eyes they see the Lord returning to Jerusalem.” (Isaiah 52:8) We see watchmen who are looking for God to fulfil His prophetic promises. They shout for joy because of God’s faithfulness. “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!” (Isaiah 52:7)
“Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the family of David and on the people of Jerusalem. They will look on me whom they have pierced and mourn for him as for an only son. They will grieve bitterly for him as for a firstborn son who has died.” (Zechariah 12:10) In the midst of their great trouble, The Messiah will return to Israel – and they will recognize Him.
