“The Lord gave me this message: “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:4-5
This scripture is very close to my heart and my testimony. I was out in the world doing my own thing or so I thought. There is little truth to that statement. I was in the world running from God. The strange thing was that God was in control of my life. I just did not know it then. God never gives up on us and He always wants us to come to him. I was saved in my early thirties. Shortly after I was saved, God called to me to the ministry. I did not understand it then and I still don’t understand it. At times I still tell God that He made a mistake. I went to tell my father that God called me to the ministry and I will never forget what my father said, “I knew that the day you were born.” I know that he doubted it at times, but he never said a word about him knowing that I was called to the ministry. God knows us all before we are born. This is why I am passionate about abortion. I am very pro-life.
A child is a child at the very moment he is conceived. “You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.” (Psalm 139:15-16) Abortion is murder, unless it is done to save a life. That is the way the Word of God looks at it. God said to Jeremiah, “Before you were born, I knew you and I called you.” Just like God knew me and Jeremiah. God knows you and has a plan for your life.
